Client: Birchwood Highland
Description: Extension and refurbishment
This existing building, operated by Birchwood Highland for the support of people suffering from mental illness, required to be upgraded to enable more residents to be self sufficient and prepare them for moving out into the community. A couple of small extensions and the conversion of a disused boiler house enabled the transformation of 15 bedrooms and 4 flats to 10 bedrooms, 7 flats and 5 bedsits. The contract was managed in four phases to enable the building to remain occupied during the work, which was completed in 2008.
