Project Description: Refurbishment and Extension at Invergordon Leisure Centre for High Life Highland

Additional accommodation was required plus a complete refurbishment of the gym areas, squash courts and staff facilities.
A new extension was designed to include a nursery crèche with kitchen, WCs and an outdoor play area, plus an accessible WC and a large dance studio with accompanying storage.
The existing long narrow gym was improved with new lighting, the addition of windows to the outside and also overlooking the large existing sports hall, bright clean finishes and the installtion of new cardio machines.
The existing staff facilities were converted to form a ‘state of the art’ weights area.
The squash courts were upgraded with new finishes and screens at gallery level.
New staff facilities, a consultation room and an accessible WC were formed on the Ground Floor.

The local community has been impressed with the new facilities and, as the previously completed Nairn Leisure facility, membership at the Invergordon has increased substantially since the work was completed in February 2015.
