The community organisation of Pulteneytown Peoples Project were successful in applying for Lottery funding for this significant building in a fairly run-down area of Wick.  Facilities to be provided on two floors include a multi-purpose function hall with changing rooms, Youth Club, Cafe and kitchen, toilets, nursery/ creche,  offices and meeting room, meeting/ function room, Social Economy Offices, training kitchen, IT suites etc.  The building, with a floor area of approx. 1500sq.m, is provided with 23 car parking spaces, an outdoor play area and a service yard.  Tenders for the work, amounting to almost £3,000,000, were recieved in March 2010 and it is hoped works will commence on site in the near future.
